HAVAN Rebrand
The Greater Vancouver Home Builders Association had a wide membership, the respect of suppliers, municipal and provincial governments, the press and developers, if only anyone could get their name right.
Like many Spring clients, GVHBA (see what we mean?) came to us for one thing and we discovered that they could be far more successful by getting something different. In this case, what was once Greater Vancouver Home Builders Association is now HAVAN, Homebuilders Association Vancouver. HAVAN has been developed as a fresh name that is easier to remember, easier to say and brings positive connotations. It is memorable, meaningful and perhaps most importantly, contains two syllables instead of 13.

For the first time in its history this client has a name that people actually get right, every time. It has led to increased brand awareness among consumers and industry professionals. Membership levels, the key performance indicator for HAVAN, are up significantly. A second KPI, media requests leading to positive media recognition and clout with government and opinion leaders, has also increased. The client was so thrilled with the branding results, Spring was asked to bake it in further to their expos and awards shown below.
REBRAND
HAVAN Awards
The second phase of HAVAN was to re-brand the dated annual Ovation Awards to the HAVAN Awards to increase awareness and recognition of the association even further. Spring created a new iteration of the awards; one that would naturally align with the HAVAN brand. We designed and built a full website, a launch video (to be played at the first rebranded show) and created the physical manifestation of the rebranded awards: the actual trophy.
RECRUITMENT CAMPAIGN
Virtual Career Expo
We worked with six young women who are a true example for the younger generation – by strategizing our digital media efforts on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok and utilizing unique tools such as interactive video, we were able to convey the powerful stories of our campaign ambassadors on their success, challenges, and advice for young women.
