The Ayden Gallery is one of my favourite galleries because of their influence on the art scene in Vancouver. Many local artists show their work here which tends to be a great way to get exposure. This is also much needed here in Vancouver because we lack a credible art scene to match the rest of the world.
A couple of my friends had an amazing art show there last Friday called Chroma. The biggest name at the show had to be Ben Tour. He was a teacher of mine in the IDEA program at Cap University, and he’s also shown his work in many galleries all over North America. If you check out his work I’m sure you’ll recognize it from different places all over Vancouver.
The headliners of the show were Ben Tour, Andrew Young and Jose Rivas. I have to say that I was floored by the sheer quality of work that was hanging from the walls that night. And the place was packed. They had live a live DJ and cheap drinks to loosen some wallets. All in all the place was electric.
These are definitely some artists to watch out for as I’m sure you can tell just by looking at their work.

The exhibition goes until September 12th.
